Boise State junior distance runner Allie Ostrander will go for a three peat in the women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase Saturday at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas.

Ostrander has won back to back NCAA Steeplechase titles and the junior has the fastest time in that event this year.

Ostrander will be the smallest competitor Saturday at 5-1 and barely 100lbs but she will be the biggest story!

The 11-time All American say's she is peaking right now but knows that winning three years in a row is no easy task.

As in years past Allie will also compete in the 5,000 meter run also on Saturday. In fact the two events are separated by just 90 minutes. That's okay because last year there was only an 80 minute break and after winning the Steeplechase she was 8th in the 5,000 meter run.

The past two years Ostrander has been the only runner to qualify for both the Steeplechase and the 5,000 meter finals but this year she will be joined by two others up to the task.

Ostrander will run the Steeplechase just before 5 p.m. Boise time Saturday with the 5,000 meters 90 minutes later at about 6:30 p.m.
