Sometimes the wins come when you least expect. Such was the case Sunday night in Everett where the Boise Hawks trailed the Aquasox 5-4 with 2-out in the 9th.

That's when L.J. Hatch decided to rip an RBI triple to tie the game 5-5 and force extra innings. The Hawks had appeared doomed after yielding 4 Aquasox runs in the 7th inning.

In the 10th Kennard McDowell stroked a two run double to give Boise a 7-5 lead and while  Everett was able to close the margin to one run they couldn't seal the deal and Boise won the game 7-6.

Now the Hawks and the rest of the NW League can relax for a few days. The NW League All-Star game will be played Tuesday night and that means three nights of no action in the league.

Games resume Thursday with the Boise Hawks returning home to host the Spokane Indians. The Hawks are 25-26 on the year.
