The Boise Hawks are in Everett, Washington tonight but would much rather be at home where they just won five of six games improving to 8-9 overall.

The Hawks are 0-7 on the road and 8-2 at home. Whats more, the home cooking was great for the Boise bats. Four players are currently batting better than .333 led by outfielder Joe Aeilts hitting .418.

Aeilts is 23 for 55 at the plate and he started the recent home stand at .363 so let's just say he feasted under the memorial Stadium lights.

The the success of the recent home stand Boise have crawled out of the NW League's South Division basement and their 8-9 mark is identical to Everett's 8-9 record.

First pitch tonight is 8:05 MDT as the Hawks try and shake their road issues. Ironically Boise lost a pair of extra inning games at Salem-Keizer so it's not that they're playing badly, just not getting the baseball breaks teams need to win on the road.

By the way this is just a quick three game road swing as the Hawks will be home Thursday July 4th to host Tri-Cities with a post game fireworks show.
