Senior Bronco Anthony Drmic will undergo season ending surgery on his ankle after the first of the year. Drmic has missed most of the Broncos' season this year.

The Australian native injured the ankle last year against Fresno State, but he noted his nagging left ankle had continued to deteriorate during this season.

Drmic, whose back has also caused him problems, has not used a redshirt season, and NCAA rules say a medical redshirt requires the player take part in fewer than 30 percent of his team's game, and must not play in the second half of the season. The Broncos expect they will be able to obtain a medical redshirt for Drmic once the season is completed, which will enable him to play the 2015-16 season.
