For the second time this season, Boise State has swept the Mountain West Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week accolades with Raimee Sherle and Tara Fisher, respectively, once again earning the honors.

Sherle is now the only offensive player in Mountain West history to win the award six times over the course of a career. She now only trails New Mexico's Kelli Cornell (2009-12) for the most honors (regardless of offensive or defensive denotation) over the course of a career, as she earned the defensive accolade seven times.

Fisher and Sherle both earned the respective honors in the same week just three weeks ago (Sept. 24, 2018), making Boise State just the second school in Mountain West history to have the same duo repeat in a season, joining UNLV who did it during the 2007 season with Katie Carney (offensive) and Alicia Lugo (defensive) earning the honor the same week twice. The conference started recognizing separate offensive and defensive player of the week honors starting in 2002.

Now with 19 goals in 2018, Sherle has the Mountain West single-season goals record to go along with her growing Mountain West career goals record (44 and counting).

She scored both goals over the course of the weekend, finding the back of the net in the 55th minute against Air Force and the 82nd minute against Colorado College.

The two goals increases her career game-winning goal total to 23 and gives her 10 for the season – putting her just two away from tying the MW single-season record held by BYU's Katie Larkin (12 GWG, 2007).

The junior forward continues to lead NCAA Division I in goals (19), points (38) and game-winning goals (10).

Tara Fisher has been exceptional, as well, as she picked up two clean sheets and played all 180 minutes in both 1-0 victories this past weekend. Now with nine shutouts in 2018, Fisher has the program record for most shutouts in a single season.

In addition, her five shutouts in Mountain West play is tied for third most in a conference season in league history.

The senior goalkeeper successfully defended six corner kicks against Colorado College and made five saves against Air Force.

Her 0.80 goals-against average is currently third in the Mountain West while her nine shutouts leads the league.

Boise State will return home this coming weekend and host Fresno State (Friday, Oct. 19) and San Jose State (Sunday, Oct. 21). Admission will be for free for Friday's game at 4 p.m.
