Mateo Gonzales led the College of Idaho men's ski team to a convincing win over the weekend in the Northwest Collegiate Ski Conference slalom qualifier at White Pass Mountain in Packwood, Washington.

Gonzales took the gold medal and was one of four Coyotes to finish in the top 10. The C.of I. men posted a team time of 4:20.42 and that was 24 seconds better than second place Washington State. In ski racing 24 seconds is total domination!

British Columbia finished third and Washington fourth.

The next big meet is the weekend of February 22 and 23 at the Mount Hood Ski Bowl. It's the final giant slalom qualifier of the season.
