Former Mountain View standout and freshman guard at 3rd ranked Maryland is taking women's basketball by storm. Slocum a true freshman has led the Terps to a 19-1 record, losing only to UCONN.

Slocum came to national attention that night because of the way she played against the #1 ranked team in the country. It was the Idaho native who kept Maryland in the game against the Huskies and who many touted afterwards as a player to watch the next four seasons.

Slocum recorded her first double-double with 11pts and 11 assists against Rutgers earlier this week. Maryland will play Illinois tomorrow night and with Slocum running the offense Maryland is second in the nation scoring 89.9 points per game.
