Monday Mikayla Ferenz of the Idaho Vandals was tabbed the National mid-major women's basketball player of the week after she poured in 33 points against Northern Colorado and followed that game with the first triple double at Idaho since 1984 with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists against North Dakota.

Today, Idaho senior post Geraldine McCorkell was named the Big Sky Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

McCorkell, a senior from Melbourne, Australia, averaged 28.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last week, helping Idaho to just the second road sweep over Northern Colorado and North Dakota in the last six years. She opened the week with her third straight double-double in Greeley. She posted 22 points and 10 boards in the Vandals' 79-71 win. McCorkell went perfect from the floor, hitting 9-of-9 from the field. McCorkell totaled a career-high 34 points in Idaho's 78-64 win at UND. She hit a career-high five 3's in the win. She was nearly perfect from the free-throw line, hitting 9-of-10. In all, McCorkell shot 67.9 percent from the field and went 6-for-11 (54.5%) from behind the arc. She currently ranks fourth in field goal percentage (50.9%), ninth in scoring (16.3) and 10th in rebounding (7.2) in the Big Sky this season.

Talk about a double-double one/two punch!
