Earlier this week former Boise State defensive back Darreon Jackson tweeted that he had committed to play football with the Kansas Jayhawks. Yesterday Kansas coach David Beaty announced that Jackson is no longer on the Kansas recruiting list.

Jackson was suspended by Boise State last May for his involvement in an alleged sexual assault. He was one of three players suspended by Boise State.

Jackson who is from Kansas played at Coffeyville Community College this past season and intended to transfer to Kansas for the 2017 season.

Jackson, Marquis Hendrix and Donzale Roddie were all suspended following a Title IX investigation by Boise State. The three were accused by a female student who said she had been sexually assaulted. No charges criminal charges have been filed.

Kansas has made no other comment on the Jackson situation except to say all potential transfers are subject to a vetting process before being accepted.
