Kellen Moore has always handled the heat whether from rushing defensive opponents or the fans. Kellen won 50 games at Boise State and came within a couple of missed field goals of going undefeated as the Broncos quarterback.

None of that Boise love fest has followed Kellen to the NFL. In fact the Dallas fans continue to look for any reason why Moore should not be removed as Dak Prescott's backup.

This past weekend against the Rams Moore was 8 of 17 passing for 69yds and only led Dallas to three points and that opened the door again for the critics.

Prescott who didn't play in the game said afterwards there was no chance Moore would drop in the depth chart because of his sub par performance.

As for Kellen, he just lets it all roll off his shoulders. Unlike the fans, Moore knows the pre-season isn't about winning but determining who to keep on the Dallas roster. That means Kellen is playing with guys trying to make the team and sometimes the offense just isn't pretty and smooth as when all the starters are plugged into the lineup.

Kellen has beaten the odds just by remaining on an NFL roster and the experience he is receiving can never be measured. Even if one day Moore makes believers of the Dallas faithful, Moore knows fans are a fickle lot and so he doesn't make that his focus.

Moore's only concern is to be ready if called to service in the regular season. Kellen isn't a magician just a hard working football player who refuses to disappear even when some fans think he should.
