Boise State's Khafari Buffalo is a red-shirt senior transfer from The Citadel who not only comes to Boise State with a name but with a game!

Buffalo, a 6-2 safety, was made available to the media this week for the first time this season and what a character. I'm three times his age and yet when he shook my hand Buffalo greeted me by saying "Hi there young man."

The comment was greeted with laughs from the other media types and then the laughter got louder as Buffalo told me at least I could get great discounts!

I told Buffalo to stick with me because I'd save him some meal money!

This all happened before the interview and it would get even better. Khafari was asked about his name which he said gets butchered all the time.

"Sometimes they leave the K off and just call me Fari, one time they called me Kafoose, not sure where they came up with that, crazy."

When asked why he chose to come to Boise State he said the culture, "When they recruited me I was told we win" said Khafari "that's exactly what we are doing and we need to keep the ball rolling."

At The Citadel Buffalo had to defend the triple option every day in practice and he used  his knowledge of the triple option to lead the way against Air Force.

Buffalo says Hawaii brings a whole new challenge to the Blue Saturday night but he's looking forward to stopping the run and shoot or at least slowing it down.

Hawaii has beaten Arizona and Oregon State of the Pac12 and they scored 54 points at Nevada to beat the Pack 54-3.

Buffalo, who was born in Boston loves being in Boise and loves being a Bronco. He definitely has a claim to being the teams funniest player but says for now he's happy to default that role to Curtis Weaver, the Mountain Wests all time sack leader.

All-League name and smart, in a nutshell that's Khafari (with a K) Buffalo, number 14 on defense!
