I'm not embarrassed to admit that I've spent a decent part of Labor Day weekend watching Starbucks' live feed of the arrival of the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Since Friday morning, the coffee chain has been streaming a Facebook live video of a pumpkin sitting in a nest inside a barn.  Reminding many of this year's viral "giraffe cam," Starbucks is branding the stream as the first time that humans will get to see the magical arrival of their famous Pumpkin Spice Latte.  As I'm writing this, the video has been live for over 76 hours and hundreds of PSL fans have developed a bond with the pumpkin (which they've collectively named Priscilla) and the pumpkin farmers that have been helping it through delivery.  The friendship those watching have developed is absolutely hilarious. We're all a little frustrated that after 76 hours, we still are no closer to knowing when the official arrival of the PSL will be.

Krispy Kreme isn't making us suffer the way the Starbucks is! They've announced that for 24 hours only, they'll be serving their limited edition "Pumpkin Spice Donut" at their location on Eagle Road in Meridian.  If you're a lover of pumpkin everything like me, mark your calendars for this Friday, September 8th!

Last year, was the first time in Krispy Kreme history where they changed the recipe of their original glaze to include a flavor like pumpkin spice.  After the success of the donut last fall, they did it again to include chocolate in a special Solar Eclipse Donut a few weeks ago.
