Excuse the pun but Boise State head basketball coach Leon Rice will put his team through a basketball "rice cooker" this week.

The Broncos face a pair of teams still undefeated in league play. BSU, 2-2 in conference will host 3-0 UNLV Wednesday at 7 pm. The game is so big says coach Rice that he gave up a spot on ESPNU at 9pm for lesser ESPN3 exposure at 7pm so the Boise State fans could have an early tip time and come out and support the Broncos.

105.5 The Fan talked with Rice today and he said "UNLV is playing as good as any team in the league."

The Rebels are 8-8 overall but played a tough early season schedule and have really found their stride in conference play.

In addition to the game, Boise State senior Justinian Jessop needs to make just one three point shot to become Boise States all time career leader.

Jessop is currently tied with Anthony Drmic each with 275 made three pointers. Rice calls the effort amazing because you pretty much have to play four years to even have a chance to hit that many three's and the fact that making three point shots is such a big part of the game these days, indeed a game changers.

Following Wednesday's game in Extra Mile Arena the Bronco's head to San Diego to battle 7th ranked San Diego State. The Aztecs are 15-0 and jumped 6 spots in this weeks AP basketball poll.

San Diego State is 4-0 in league and should be 5-0 when they collide with BSU Saturday after playing Wednesday at Wyoming.

UNLV followed by San Diego State, currently a combined 7-0 in league, now that's a challenging week of basketball for the Bronco's.
