Saturday May 20th is Military Appreciation Night at Meridian Speedway and all military past and present will be admitted free.

This is one of our biggest nights says track manager Adam Nelson. Nelson said he realized that on Memorial weekend the races were more about fallen drivers than an appreciation of our military. The Bill Crow and Naylor Memorial Day races have been a long time tradition at Meridian Speedway but Nelson felt it was ironic that more wasn't being done to appreciate those who have given or are currently serving their country.

So Nelson came up with Military Appreciation night the week before Memorial weekend as a way to say thank you. Plus it's a big night of racing with the Pro Truck circuit in town along with the Super and Mini stocks which always provide a fan thrilling door slamming type of racing.

Gates open at 4p.m. Saturday with racing at 6:30.
