According to multiple sources, Neil Graham has resigned as head coach of the Idaho Steeleads to join the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL) as an assistant coach.

Graham will join another former Idaho Steelhead head coach in Derek Laxdal, currently the head coach of the Stars. Graham replaces Bob Jones who has accepted a coaching position with the Ottawa Senators. That announcement was made Sunday.

Graham won 166 games with the Steelies and took Idaho to the Kelly Cup playoffs four times.

Idaho is now searching for it's 8th head coach since the 1997-98 season.

In the last couple of weeks the Steelheads have signed four players from last years roster as they prepare for the home opener October 18th against Wichita.
