New Mexico head football coach Bob Davie is allegedly under investigation after allegations surfaced concerning player mistreatment and questions about the school's drug-testing program.

According to Fishbowl.com New Mexico officials started the investigation following several exit interviews with Lobo players in the spring.

New Mexico spokeswoman Cinnamon Blair released a statement which read, “I can confirm there is an investigation underway in Athletics. We are not going to comment on the details or the individuals involved until the investigation is complete,”

Davie and his Lobos will face Boise State tonight at 6 p.m. on the blue turf of Albertson's Stadium. Davie is in his sixth season at New Mexico and has a 28–27 record. The Lobos are 7-1 against BSU with that one win coming two years ago in Boise.

Both teams are 1-1 coming into this evenings conference opener.
