Last week it was learned Boise State sophomore guard Paris Austin had asked for and received a release from the Boise State men's basketball program.

Today Austin tweeted he has decided to come home and play for Cal Berkeley.

Austin who hails from the Oakland area averaged 12.3 points per game with Boise State last year and was expected to be a major factor his junior season.

Instead Austin decided to leave Boise State and while his tweet thanked all the Bronco coaches for their help there was obviously a need for him to be closer to home. As a source told me, his concerns went deeper than basketball.
