Record Start to Boise State Gymnastics Season

The Boise State gymnastics team posted a record season opening score of 196.400 as the Broncos topped San Jose State (193.050) and Air Force (191.875) at Taco Bell Arena.

The 16th ranked Broncos were led by All-American Shani Remme who posted a career best 9.950 on the beam and also grabbed the overall crown with a 39,500.

.In addition, co-coaches Tina Bird and Neil Resnick posted their 200th career victories with Boise State.

Remme led a balanced team attack as they were able to grab the top three places in all four events.

The Broncos are deep this year with 11 returners from last years championship team plus 5 new freshman, three of which have already made the starting rotation.
