It's been quite the week for Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien. The season opener against Troy didn't go exactly as planned. Rypien says all that really matters is that Boise State won but you know inside the junior quarterback expected a lot more of himself and hopes to turn things around Saturday in Pullman. Martin stadium, home to the Washington State Cougars, is familiar to Brett who grew up in Spokane and attended several Apple Cup games. Saturdays showdown will be a homecoming of sorts. Plus his Uncle Mark is a Hall of Fame quarterback legend for Washington State When asked if he thought Uncle Mark would rout for Boise State on Saturday Brett said maybe a little on the inside but with everything Mark Rypien means to Washington State Uncle Mark will bleed crimson Saturday. That's okay says the Bronco Rypien because even though his mom is a Washington State fan he knows mom will be routing for him on Saturday. Plus Brett says since Uncle Mark has lifelong season tickets that's fewer tickets he needed to score for the game. That's one thing about Brett Rypien, he is able to roll with the punches so don't be surprised if Rypien comes out firing pleasing mom and maybe even putting a smile on Uncle Mark.
