National letter of intent signing day is February 1st as high school athletes from around the country decide on their college futures. In the Treasure Valley the list is expected to be long with most of the attention going to football.

Already five local players have announced their intentions with D-1 schools and all five are lineman. Harrison Ashby a tight end for Capital Eagles is headed to Idaho, while offensive lineman John Ojukwu of Boise High is headed to Boise State, Maxim Moore of Eagle to Idaho, Alec Kuzmack also of Eagle will sign with Washington State and Columbia's Brandon Kipper will ink with Hawaii.

Another eight to ten local football players will sign with FCS teams including Jake Wilkerson of Rocky Mountain who will head to Idaho State. Montana State and Weber State of the Big sky recruited Treasure football talent heavily and each will sign three players from the Boise area.
