Just like the good old days Idaho skiers are soaking in another great snow year. The 2017-18 season didn't exactly start out that way but its setting up for a great finish.

Just about every ski area in the state has received snow in the past 48 hours and more is on the way. A winter storm advisory is out for much of the state for most of Saturday with a half foot or more of snow expected in the mountains. That's white gold for resort owners who can now see all the way through March.

Base snow depths range from two feet to ten feet with more on the way. Temperatures right now are the coldest of the season which means what ever falls is going to stay.

In Southwest Idaho Brundage, Tamarack, Bogus Basin and Sun Valley are all bracing for the latest storm expected to dump snow all weekend and then again late next week.

Resort owners say the ski conditions right now are the best of the season and setting up Idaho resorts for a great season of spring skiing and sun worship!
