The Idaho Steelheads exploded for six goals Wednesday night skating to a 6-4 victory over the defending Kelly Cup Champion Colorado Eagles.

Jefferson Dahl and Steve McParland each scored a pair of goals as the Steelheads snapped a four-game winless streak and moved into a tie for third place in the Mountain Division.

The Steelheads are 3-2-2 while Colorado suffered just it's second loss of the young season and is now 6-2-0.

Idaho out shot the Eagles 42-29 and in fact lead the ECHL in per game average shots ion goal with 42. In short the Steelies aren't afraid to pull the trigger.

The two teams play again Friday and Saturday at Century Link arena in Boise both games start at 7:10 p.m.
