Local baseball teams enjoyed a pretty successful weekend with two youth teams earning World Series berths and the Boise Hawks coming up with a big Sunday win.

The Mountain View Toros beat Washington 10-0 in 5-innings Sunday to go 5-0 at the Double A American Legion Regional tournament in Montana. The Toros earned a spot in the American Legion World series in Shelby, North Carolina where they play Las Vegas Thursday.

Meantime, Coeur d A'lene won the NW Region Little League crown and is headed to Williamsport, Pennsylvania where they'll face Michigan on Friday.

The baseball fun didn't stop there as the Boise Hawks got a bases loaded 3 RBI double from Danny Edgeworth to power the hawks past the Spokane Indians Sunday night 7-1.

Edgeworth's bases clearing hit was part of a 4 run 6th inning that erased a 1-0 Spokane lead.

The Hawks and Indians play again Monday night in Boise, first pitch at 7:15 p.m.
