Transfer Portal Claims Two More Boise State Football Recruits

The NCAA's new Transfer Portal isn't the most popular tool in the college athletic tool box at least among coaches.

Designed to give athletes a better chance to make a change after signing a letter of intent, the Transfer Portal was criticized on Sports radio 630 The Fan Thursday by Oklahoma Football coach Lincoln Riley who said a player doesn't need to talk to his coaches before entering the portal and likened that to quitting your job without telling your boss.

Today the portal snapped up two more Boise State football recruits in freshman quarterback Kaiden Bennett and freshman running back Keegan Duncan.

Duncan, a 4-star recruit from Declo, Idaho was on crutches last week but still was expected to see some action this fall. Duncan, a 6-2 216 pounder was a Gatorade Player of the Year.

Bennett from Folsom. California today came out and said his decision to transfer was all about not having fun and wanting to be closer to family.

Earlier this week freshman wide receiver DK Blaylock also entered the Transfer Portal saying his desire was to play basketball.

None the less that is three highly recruited football players gone before the first day of school even starts Monday.

Boise State opens the season August 31st vs. Florida State in Jacksonville, Florida. None of the three were expected to make the trip but is still concerning news especially about Duncan who is a home grown talent had Boise State fans excited to see what he could do at this level.

Boise State will hold it's annual Fall Fan Fest tomorrow starting at 11;30am, concluding with an open football practice and autograph session at 2 p.m. on the Blue.
