US NATIONAL ARENA SOCCER TEAM EMBARKS ON THREE-GAME WORLD CUP TOUR

The United States National Arena Soccer Team (USNAST) will resume its preparations for the World Miniootball Federation World Cup with a three-game tour in the Western United States next month.

Under the governance of the American Soccer567 Association, the USNAST will defend its World Cup championship against teams from 23 other countries at the World Miniftooball World Cup set for October in Tunisia.

This will be the second preparation tour for the United States team, which previously played a three-game tour in California earlier this year. This tour will once again begin in California, as the US will take on El Salvador at 7 p.m. Aug. 9 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., home of the Ontario Fury.

“The crowds in here have always been great in supporting the United States team whenever they come to Ontario,” said Bernie Lilavois, the general manager of the US team, and also the president of the Ontario Fury. “We expect that the fans in Southern California will come out and support this game, especially with the addition of El Salvador, who provided a great challenge to the US during the last World Cup.”

From Ontario, the US team will go to two arenas that are not currently hosts of arena soccer teams. First, they will head to the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho, on Aug. 11 for a matchup against Brazil. The US and Brazil then will head south to the Maverik Center outside Salt Lake City, Utah, for a rematch on Aug. 12. Both games will begin at 7 p.m. local time.

Rosters for the games will be announced later this week. The US team is coached by San Diego Sockers’ coach Phil Salvagio, El Salvador is coached by former professional player Luis Orellana and Brazil is coached by Hewerton Moreira of the Cedar Rapids Rampage.

Tickets for all the games will be on sale at each arena’s box office.
