Dropping a 44-16 decision to UNLV Saturday is probably enough reason for the Idaho Vandals to be ready to play Saturday at Western Michigan but if that's not enough then how about Western Michigan's nickname, The Broncos!

All that aside the Vandals are smarting from the loss to UNLV which snapped Idaho's six game win streak their longest since 1994.

The game was 10-3 UNLV at the half but Vandal coach Paul Petrino said his team acted like it was a blowout.

UNLV's ability to run and control the clock left kept the Vandal offense on the sidelines and that seemed to play a mental game with his team said Petrino.

Ironically Western Michigan also likes to run the ball and control the clock so Petrino has told his team it doesn't matter how few points Idaho scoreds, so long as we have 1pt more than the Broncos.

Vandal running back Aaron Duckworth told the media he felt the Vandals didn't come out fast enough against UNLV. He said the Rebels threw the first punch and we never put the peddle to the metal.

kickoff Saturday is 5 p.m. here on sports radio 630 The Fan, pre-game at 4 p.m.
