Boise State plays Hawaii Saturday on the blue at 2 pm for the Mountain West football title and maybe much more. Boise State could finish the year 12-1 and maybe earn a New Years six bowl invite to the Cotton Bowl depending on the outcome of the Memphis @ Cincinnati game.

All week Boise State players have been talking about how they want to make amends for the 2018 loss to Fresno State in last years championship game. In fact every player has said that loss has been the motivating force behind the effort this year to once again reach the title game but this time finish the deal.

Monday Bronco head coach Bryan Harsin asked fans to join the players in finishing the season! By that he means fill Albertson's stadium and help Boise State bring home the championship.

So why have ticket sales lacked? Yesterday Boise State athletic director Curt Apsey said he didn't feel the Mountain West football conference got much respect. He felt Hawaii, a 9-4 team wasn't getting the respect they deserve.

Sure BSU beat Hawaii 59-37 during the regular season but this is a one game showdown for the championship and both teams plan to bring everything but the kitchen sink.

Both teams are different now than they were back then, especially Boise State with Jaylon Henderson now at quarterback and a freshman running back named George Holani toting the football and looking crack 1,000 yards for the season.

Ticket sales are slow despite a 2 pm kickoff and while there are some rain showers in the forecast, the temperature at kickoff is expected to be nearing 50.

Boise State is favored by 15 but the truth is, Hawaii is more than capable of pulling the upset and that's why the Broncos are looking for fan help.

This week Boise State became the wining-est football program in history just ahead of Ohio State yet the program struggles to fill a 37,000 seat stadium.

Nebraska, once the poster child for college football, now struggles to win but every home game has been sold out for decades, including during their current struggles.

By the way, I asked today for a current ticket count for the game but was told the attendance will not be announced until halftime Saturday.

Bottom line, for most BSU fans this will be the final football game of the year they can attend, not all can afford bowl game trips, so why not make it a memorable day for Boise State football, the wining-est football program in all of college football.
