Why this is a great week for Sports

Finally we can stop yapping about the NBA Draft and settling for feeds of Canadian Football to get us through the Summer.  Why this week is a great week for sports fans.  I confess, I'm not a fan of Major League Baseball, however if you are then this week it's all about the All Star Game.  So baseball fans can look forward to the home run derby and other activities before the annual showdown between the American and National Leagues.

Once the MLB's big game is over, it's only a few weeks until NFL training camps open and their Hall of Fame Game.  If your a college football fan, who isn't?  Then get ready to get a preview of 'Grown Man Football, that's what they call it down South.  Today kicks off the annual Southeastern Conference Media Days till Wednesday.  The ACC follows with their media days on Thursday and Friday.

If football isn't your thing, then get ready for the biggest fight of the year and perhaps the century.  UFC Champ Connor McGregor will take on Floyd Mayweather this August.  Can't wait till August?  Then get ready for the multi-city press conferences between both fighters beginning tomorrow.  Fox Sports 2 will carry them live.  Fox Sports 1 will run them tape delayed.

It may not be time for kickoff and tailgating, but this week will surely make the time fly till game time.
