Idaho and Boise State might not battle each other on the turf, however this Saturday night they'll play just 8 miles apart. Idaho hosting UNLV in the Kibbie Dome and the Broncos playing Washington State in Martin Stadium.

It's interesting to note Idaho will be favored in their game but the Broncos are nearly an 11 point underdog against the Cougars.

You have to go back to 2008 to find a game in which Boise State was a double digit underdog and that was when 12th ranked Oregon came to the Blue. That was also the last time Boise State beat a ranked team while unranked themselves.

The Broncos are once again in the same situation, unranked playing a Washington State team ranked #20.

The Idaho Vandals are favored to beat UNLV which a year ago when they played in Vegas was not the case. Idaho won that day in overtime, a wild shootout head coach Paul Petrino says might happen again Saturday. The UNLV win was a turning point for the Vandals season and the winning attitude has carried over into the 2017 season,.

UNLV is coming off a 43-40 loss to Howard, maybe the biggest upset of college football's opening weekend. Idaho meantime has won 6 in a row after topping Cal Sacramento 28-6 and with a win would be off to their best start since the 1988 season.
